Cavenico il Mare
A beachfront resort on Samal Island that we rolled into well after dark, the Talicud day on the boats having stretched long past sunset. Check-in happened by lamplight, the sea more sound than sight — waves working somewhere just past the reception strip, the cottages shapes against a black horizon. We stowed the bags, ate, and turned in without ever really seeing the place, the whole resort holding its reveal for the morning with the water activities already queued up.
