A morning on the water
Daylight finally revealed everything the night check-in had hidden — the cove opening up turquoise and calm, the cottages strung along a beach that had been just shapes in the dark twelve hours earlier. The resort runs the full menu of water toys, and we worked through most of it: the banana boat whipping and bouncing behind the speedboat until someone got flung off, lazy kayak loops tracing the edge of the cove, stand-up paddle wobbling across the glassier stretches, and easy swims filling the gaps. The rhythm set itself — ride, spill, dry off in the sun, rinse, queue up the next one — capped by one last float in the water before we toweled down and pointed the boat back toward the mainland.
